The Alpha Omicron Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership honor society is seeking nominations of undergraduate juniors and seniors, graduate students, faculty members, and alumni for membership in ODK.
The nominees should demonstrate outstanding leadership and service, exemplary character, and academic excellence. Nominations represent a commitment to recognize outstanding individuals in your respective departments.
Omicron Delta Kappa is celebrating its 62nd year at Virginia Tech. The Virginia Tech Circle of ODK is one of the most prominent and respected Circles across the nation. Membership in ODK is a mark of the highest distinction and honor.
Please contact your nominee(s), inform them of your nomination and request that they complete the application form.
To be eligible for student membership, a senior must have a minimum QCA of 2.98. A junior must have a minimum QCA of 2.87. A student candidate must demonstrate leadership in at least two of the following areas: scholarship, athletics, performing arts, student media, and student activities. Potential faculty candidates are evaluated on their professional and community activities. Alumni candidates are evaluated on their contributions to Virginia Tech and their professional accomplishments.
Nominations and application forms must be received by 5 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31, in 309 Cassell Coliseum, or the nomination is invalid. For more information, please call Cynthia Kraft at 2-1134 or Jerry Via at 1-6165. Additional forms are available from the Dean of Students Office in 105 Brodie.
