New personnel form announced
Spectrum Volume 18 Issue 16 - December 14, 1995
In an attempt to respond to customer needs and look for efficiencies, Personnel Services has developed a new form that merges three forms into one. This new form combines the Vacancy Recruiting Request, the Position Description , and the Performance Planning and Evaluation forms.
The purpose of the form is to eliminate paperwork and streamline processes to allow departments to update one form rather than three. Although the form does not have to be used until the beginning of the next performance cycle, it is ready for immediate use by anyone involved in preparing vacancy cards, position descriptions, and performance evaluations. During the current cycle, departments may use either the entire form or any individual section.
The Virginia Tech Position and Performance Activity Form (P-112), which is being mailed to departments this week, is available on Gopher, paper copy, or by disk exchange from Personnel Services. Departments are asked to share the information with all individuals within their organization who will be using these forms.
Questions or anticipated need to train individuals to use this form should be directed to Personnel Services at 1-9331.
