Eyre honored by staff association
Spectrum Volume 18 Issue 18 - January 25, 1996
VMRCVM Dean Peter Eyre was honored with an Administrative Excellence Award by the VMRCVM Staff Association during a recent ceremony.
The college's Staff Association is considered one of the most successful at Virginia Tech, according to Staff Association President Terry Lawrence. One reason for that, he said, is because Eyre takes the association seriously and seeks its involvement in the administration of the college.
The president of the VMRCVM Staff Association has a seat on the College Council, the highest administrative body in the college's internal-governance structure.
"Keep doing what you are doing, and do it as well as you can," he told association members, adding that his success in representing the college in political and financial arenas is predicated upon the ability of the faculty and staff to conduct the business of the college well.
