Spectrum Volume 18 Issue 27 - April 11, 1996

The International Street Fair, previously scheduled for April 6, has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 14, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in downtown Blacksburg.

The street fair, which is located on College Avenue and runs from the corner of Main Street up Draper Road to the corner of Roanoke Street, was cancelled last weekend because of inclement weather.

"We are pleased that town officials have worked with us to reschedule the event," said Darlene Grega, director of the Cranwell International Center.

The street fair features dozens of booths sponsored by the international student clubs at Virginia Tech. In addition to information about the countries represented, participants will sample from a broad array of food and drink from foreign countries. Students will be dressed in traditional clothing.

In the event of rain, the festival will be moved to Lane Stadium.
