THE CENTER FOR INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDIES. Advisor. Full-time, 12-month administrative faculty position. The position includes advising and administrative responsibilities for two programs. Approximately 60 percent of the duties involve providing academic and career advising in an undergraduate interdisciplinary major (IDST). Approximately 40 percent of the duties involve assisting with the admissions process, the graduate committee, and providing advice about institutional requirements and procedures for graduate students enrolled in the Science and Technology Studies Graduate Program (STS). Additional responsibilities include preparation of newsletters, brochures, and handbooks, and providing information to update information for these programs on the Internet. Requirements: Master's degree required. Previous experience providing academic and/or career advising preferred. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and to work independently required. Familiarity with Internet required. Salary is $26,000. Starting date is Aug. 1, 1996. Application deadline is June 11, 1996.
