Provost Peggy Meszaros has announced the appointment of Karen Torgersen as interim director of Undergraduate Admissions. The one-year appointment is effective August 19.

Torgersen replaces David Bousquet, who has been named vice president for enrollment services at Iowa State University.

Torgersen has worked in various positions in the Admissions Office the past 10 years. Most recently, she was executive associate director for undergraduate admissions. Torgersen received an MBA in 1986 and a bachelor's degrees in elementary education from Virginia Tech.

A national search for the admissions director position will begin during this academic year.
