Introduction of New Position and Performance Activity Form P-112 to Classified Staff

Spectrum Volume 19 Issue 01 - August 29, 1996

During the months of July and August Personnel Services has been conducting training sessions for new supervisors on the performance-evaluation process and introducing the new Position and Performance Activity Form P-112. This form takes the place of the position description, the vacancy and recruitment form, and, in some cases, the P5A (used to establish a position or change an existing one), and the performance planning and evaluation form. Hour-and-a-half sessions were also conducted for experienced supervisors concentrating on the new form.

Personnel Services is now offering a one-hour information meeting, not a training session, to give the staff an overview of the Position and Performance Activity Form P-112. The new form must be used to set expectations for classified salaried staff members (and may be used for hourly wage employees) in the next performance cycle which begins Nov. 1, 1996 and extends through Oct. 31, 1997.

Meetings will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 4, from 9 to 10 a.m. AND from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the front portion of the Donaldson Brown Hotel and Conference Center auditorium. The two sessions on the same day should assist departments in maintaining sufficient staff to cover the work in the departments. Employees should obtain approval from their supervisors to attend. REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED.
