Orientation for students with disabilities
Spectrum Volume 19 Issue 01 - August 29, 1996
The Dean of Students Office is coordinating a fall orientation session for students with disabilities Wednesday, Sept. 4, from 7-8:30 p.m. in Squires Brush Mountain Room. This is the first time such an orientation program has been offered for students with disabilities.
The session is designed to answer questions including what constitutes a disability; available services for students with a disability; and campus resources to assist in adjustment to college life. It also provides an opportunity to network with other students with disabilities, to join a committee working to promote campus awareness on disability issues, and to understand the experiences of students with disabilities at Virginia Tech.
If you need assistance or accommodation to attend the session or would like more information, call the Dean of Students Office at 1-3787 or TTY 1-8718.
