The primary research area is software engineering. Background in human/computer interaction is also desirable. The assistant dean coordinates the school's financial and personnel responsibilities, including the following: prepare annual operating budget and long-term financial plans; serve as liaison with university financial and personnel offices; maintain and reconcile financial and personnel records; develop and oversee financial and personnel policies. The college has three departments, more than 700 students, 78 faculty members, 38 staff members, and a $10-million annual budget. Qualifications include a B.S. in business-related discipline, five years of academic financial/personnel management experience, mainframe and microcomputer financial records expertise. Preference for advanced degree, experience in budgeting, accounting, human-resource management, and a general knowledge of issues in higher education.
