John Beach, Buildings and Grounds director, Physical Plant, is this week's Combined Virginia Campaign Coach. In football, we'll play the Temple Owls; in charitable giving, we're much more wise. Last year, 15.9 percent of their 3,419 employees raised only $81,240. Our 26.1 percent and $196,602 overwhelms their effort, and we'll do even better this year. Beach lives in Salem, which is in the Lower Shenandoah Campaign Region. Through the Combined Virginia Campaign, he can designate donations for agencies in the community where he works and/or where he lives.
