Candidate schedules campus visit
Spectrum Volume 19 Issue 09 - October 24, 1996
Ross Perot, Reform Party candidate for president of the United States, will visit Virginia Tech Monday, Oct. 28.
Perot will speak at 3 p.m. in Burruss auditorium. The event is free and open to the public. The auditorium doors will open at 2:30 p.m.
Perot's visit is sponsored by the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets Center for Leader Development.
"Perot's visit is part of the Leaders in Action program that will bring to campus corporate, industrial, and political leaders. With this being an election year, we are pleased to bring Perot to campus as part of our public service mission," said Robert Denton, director of the Leader Center.
Perot is speaking at four universities during the final days of the campaign: Purdue, Yale, Northwestern, and Virginia Tech.
