Internationally renowned constitutional-law professor A.E. Dick Howard will be on campus on Monday, Oct. 28 to offer his views on "The Changing Face of the United States Supreme Court." The presentation will be at 7:30 p.m. in the front auditorium of the Donaldson Brown Hotel and Conference Center, and is open to the public.

Howard is professor of law at the University of Virginia. A former Rhodes Scholar and founder of the Governor's Fellows Program in Virginia, Howard also acts as attorney to the Virginia General Assembly.

His expertise in constitutional law and the drafting of constitutions has been called upon by several of the Eastern European countries emerging from the dissolution of the U.S.S.R.

Howard will also address an introductory American government class while on campus. His visit to Virginia Tech is co-sponsored by University Honors Program and the School for Public and International Affairs (SPIA). SPIA is a collaborative venture of Urban Affairs and Planning, Political Science, the Center for Public Administration and Policy, Geography, and the International Studies Program.
