By Netta S. SmithSpectrum Volume 19 Issue 23 - March 13, 1997
Janice McBee of the University Self Study addressed Staff Senate at its February meeting. McBee talked with senators about the Staff Survey on technology.
McBee encouraged all staff members to complete the surveys that were sent to them. She pointed out that the surveys included a section for comments.
The McComas Leadership Seminar is scheduled for Thursday, April 17, from 8 a.m.-noon in the Hillcrest conference room. The seminar is open to staff senators and alternates and staff-association officers. Dave Parks of the College of Human Resources and Education will facilitate a panel composed of representatives of the state legislature, university administration, Staff and Faculty senates, and the Virginia Government Employees Association. The panel will explore ways to improve communication between these organizations. There will be opportunities for questions and input from the audience.
President Spencer Allen reminded the senate that the next Faculty and Staff Senates Open Forum is March 18 at 4 p.m. in Owens Banquet Hall. Minnis Ridenour will be the guest. He will be available to answer questions and to discuss items of concern to faculty and staff members.
