English classes offered in May
By Catherine DossSpectrum Volume 19 Issue 30 - May 1, 1997
The English Language Institute of Virginia Tech will offer a full schedule of English language classes beginning May 5 for members of the international community. Classes will include pronunciation, conversation, composition, and grammar as well as TOEFL preparation. Classes cover all levels of proficiency, and members of the community are welcome to register.
Placement and registration will be held Saturday, May 3, beginning at 9 a.m. at 620 North Main Street, Room 303, in Blacksburg. Registrants should bring their passport, I-20 form, and health-insurance card.
Most classes meet weekdays through June 27. Each class has a tuition fee. Students who cannot come to every class may arrange to attend on a weekly schedule for a reduced tuition. Classes with low enrollment will be canceled. Late registrations are accepted with the student paying weekly tuition plus a service charge.
For more information, contact Judith Snoke, director of the Virginia Tech Language Institute, at 1-6963 or e-mail her at eslsnoke@vt.edu .
