A new telephone system has been installed at the Donaldson Brown Hotel and Conference Center as part of the center's ongoing renovation process.
The new system incorporates customer-friendly features such as dataports, voice mail, and simultaneous telephone and telefax lines in each guest room. The system also benefits students in the university's Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management by providing them with the latest telecommunications equipment as part of their training experience at the center.
Last summer, Donaldson Brown became fully equipped with a sprinkler system throughout the entire hotel and Alumni Hall buildings. Current renovations also include upgrading the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning in all guest rooms and the conversion of 25 offices to sleeping accommodations. Completion of these projects, funded through a recent $3.9-million bond issue, is expected this fall.
"All of these projects are aimed at satisfying our guests' needs," said hotel Managing Director Mehdi Adldoost. "We are dedicated to continually ensuring the quality of our services and the safety and comfort of our guests."
