Division Of Continuing Education . Assistant Director for Program Development. The major responsibility for this position of assistant director will be to work with university faculty members in developing and implementing non-credit programs. Major tasks include: conduct market research; use consultative selling with university faculty and external clients; develop program, service, and financial plans for each program initiated and offered; lead service team; and participate in professional activities. These professional faculty positions are non-tenured and carry the academic rank of instructor. Doctorate preferred; master's degree required. University Development . Assistant-Associate Director of Planned Giving Program. Reporting to the director of planned giving, the assistant-associate director's responsibilities will focus on marketing, development of planned gift strategies, proposal preparation, prospect visitation, and solicitation of deferred gifts on behalf of the university. The position requires proficiency in estate and financial planning, strong interpersonal skills, direct involvement with prospective donors and their legal-financial advisors, and involves extensive travel regionally and nationally. Preference will be given to candidates with a law degree and-or relevant successful experience in estate and trusts, financial planning, or planned giving.
