Steven Janosik, former Virginia Tech associate dean of students and former assistant secretary of education with Allen administration, discussed issues in higher education at December's Faculty Senate meeting.
Janosik said that higher education would have to fight for extra funding from this year's General Assembly. "Some of the main issues in the General Assembly will be in-state, out-of-state ratios for students at the state's senior public institutions; holding tuition at a zero increase, and faculty salaries," Janosik said.
