The university health-care plan is an important component of the overall benefit program for university faculty and staff members. Information has been received pertaining to the 1998-99 Health Benefits Program.
Faculty and staff members should be aware of the upcoming changes in the health-care program.

OPEN ENROLLMENT
The open-enrollment period for changes in the health-care program is May 1-31. Current faculty and staff members will receive a newsletter, Spotlight On Benefits , mailed to the home address which will contain enrollment information, new rates and other related changes.
LEWIS-GALE, MONTGOMERY REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER, AND PULASKI COMMUNITY HOSPITAL
State Department of Personnel and Training administrators have negotiated a special arrangement that allows the three hospitals to continue to serve their clientele on an in-network basis.
EMPLOYEE MEETINGS
State Department of Personnel and Training staff members are holding employee meetings state wide seeking employee input on the shape of the health-benefits program.
UNIVERSITY EMPLOYEE MEETINGS
All university faculty and staff members will have opportunities to attend meetings to obtain information on forthcoming health-care changes, new rates, and related information. Dates and times will be announced.
