Spectrum Volume 20 Issue 38 - August 13, 1998

The Virginia Tech Board of Visitors will meet on campus Monday, Aug. 24, beginning at 1 p.m. in Squires Brush Mountain Room.
The board will consider, among other business, a resolution on non-commemorative naming of university facilities, approval of capital-outlay projects, and the university's response to the Attorney General's Task Force on Drinking.
The committees of the board will be at the following times:
* Academic Affairs will meet in open session at 9 a.m. in 219 Squires; the executive session will immediately follow the open meeting.
* Buildings and Grounds will meet in executive session beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Donaldson Brown Hotel and Conference Center (DBHCC) Boardroom; the open session will begin at 9 a.m. in DBHCC conference room A.
* Finance and Audit will meet in executive session at 7:30 a.m. in the Donaldson Brown Private Dining Room; the open session begins at 8:30 a.m. in the DBHCC Executive Conference Room.
* Student Affairs will meet at 8:30 a.m. in DBHCC conference room C.
The board will hold an informational session Sunday, Aug. 23, from 3 to 5:30 p.m.
