The Microforms and Media Center in Newman Library have merged over the summer to become the Center for Alternative Media (CAM).
The new facility is located on the first floor of the library, near the Reserve and Photocopy service counters. Collections and services include: microfilm, microfiche, and microcard collections; microform readers and printers; videos; optical discs; compact discs; slides; 16-m.m. films; scripts; supplemental software; audio cassettes; phono albums; audio-visual reserve materials; Foreign Language Lab; and audio-visual equipment for viewing and listening in CAM facility.
CAM will be open the following hours during fall semester: Sundays from 9 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.; Mondays from 7:30 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.; Tuesdays from 7:30 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.; Wednesdays from 7:30 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.; Thursdays from 7:30 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.; Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 9:45 p.m.; and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Call or e-mail comments or questions to 1-6358 or cam@vt.edu .
