This week's CVC coach is Norrine Bailey Spencer, associate dean in the Pamplin College of Business. On the football field, Tech will play the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a worthy adversary whose employees give big to their local charitable campaign. UAB runs a Benevolent Fund campaign similar to our CVC, with a committee of university employees deciding who gets the funds. Their 13,500 employees raise about a million dollars each year. Their example should provide inspiration to exceed Tech's $195,000 goal. ( B. Veltri )
