Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering. Assistant/Associate Professor. The department anticipates a tenure-track faculty position, assistant/associate professor in human-factors engineering. Individuals whose research interests include human-factors engineering issues related to occupational epidemiology, industrial hygiene, injury prevention, rehabilitation engineering, and aging are particularly encouraged to apply, though other areas of expertise in human-factors engineering will also be considered. Department of Landscape Architecture. Assistant Professor . Tenure-track assistant professor beginning August, 1999. The services for students with disabilities coordinator position is a 12-month administrative faculty appointment, which is available on May 16, 1999. Reporting to an assistant dean of students, this position has the responsibility for facilitating accommodations for students with disabilities, advocating for their needs, and promoting campus-wide awareness on disabilities issues. Qualifications: Candidates for this position are expected to have a master's degree in student development or a related field, two years of practical experience in a post-secondary setting, experience working with students with disabilities, experience interpreting psycho-educational-assessment instruments, and demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of diverse populations. The expected salary range is upper twenties to low thirties. Department of Near Environments. Department Head . The department head is expected to be a strong advocate for the department. In addition, he/she will commit to all degree programs within the department, as well as support the diverse responsibilities of all faculty and staff members related to teaching, research, and Extension. He/she will be responsible for administrative duties related to fostering strategies necessary to fulfill the department's mission. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual possessing the management skills to establish a strong direction for a unique, multi-disciplinary department. He/she should also have strong commitments to undergraduate and graduate education, community outreach, as well as basic and applied research.
