SHE WAS ARESIDENT OF ENGLISH MEADOW RETIREMENT HOME. SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, H. EUGENE AKERS, AND IS SURVIVED BY TWO DAUGHTERS AND SONS-IN-LAW, LANNIE AND PAUL SPRADLIN, CHRISTIANSBURG, IDA AND DON RAKES, SHAWSVILLE; FOUR GRANDSONS, HAROLD SPRADLIN AND WIFE, JENNIE, ROGER SPRADLIN, ALL OF RINER, DAVID SPRADLIN, CHRISTIANSBURG, D. J. RAKES, SHAWSVILLE; ONE GRANDDAUGHTER AND HER HUSBAND, KAREN AND JOE STRICKLER, BLACKSBURG; THREE GREAT-GRANDSONS, BRANDON, JAMIE, AND DAVID; ONE SISTER, LILLIE BARNETT, CHRISTIANSBURG; SPECIAL FRIENDS, MELISSA, APRIL, AND SANDY; A HOST OF OTHER FRIENDS AND RELATIVES. FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE 1 P.M. THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, AT THE RICHARDSON-HORNE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL CONDUCTED BY REV. CHARLES PFAFF AND REV. JUBE BURK, WITH BURIAL IN SUNSET CEMETERY. FRIENDS MAY CALL ANY TIME WEDNESDAY AT THE RICHARDSON-HORNE FUNERAL HOME, WHERE THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS FROM 6 TO 8 P.M. WEDNESDAY.
