Career and Technical Education Research (CTER) was previously published as the Journal of Vocational Education Research (JVER). It is published three times per year in April, August, and December. It is an official publication of the Association for Career and Technical Education Research (ACTER).
Organized in 1966, ACTER was formerly known as the American Vocational Education Research Association (AVERA). It is a professional association for scholars and others with research interests in the relationship between education and work. Addressed are the global interests of workforce education research, education, issues and policy.
