Auction of the wild ponies that swam across the Assateague
Channel will be held today, from 8 a.m. to noon, at the carnival
grounds in Chincoteague. A schedule of events Wednesday had an
incorrect day for the auction. Following the auction will be other
events, including entertainment and an evening carnival.
